"Otherside" is a series of works exploring color field and geometric abstraction and the socio-political nature of fences and borders. Initially, the series was conceived around the proverb "The grass is always greener on the other side" and looks at how humans envy what others have through the perspective of land division, sovereign territory and suburban space. It has expanded into an exploration of color field and geometric abstraction as I have been creating the works.
